Secco di Como opens with a sparkling, refreshing burst—a light, effervescent wine accord creates a sensation of bubbles and cool elegance, immediately enhanced by lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit. Petitgrain adds green freshness, while pear and gooseberry create a juicy, slightly tart twist. This opening is clean, modern, and as quintessentially summery as a glass of something sparkling on a lakeside terrace.
The heart reveals what matters most: elderflower in a very distinctive, “elder-gooseberry” interpretation, underscored by neroli and soft rose. Pomelo adds a luminous, citrusy bitterness, while black pepper does its work in the background—it lends character and ensures the composition isn’t just polite, but has an edge and style.
The base is clean, elegant, and long-lasting: cedar and vetiver hold the structure together, musk adds purity on the skin, and gray amber and cashmeran create an effect of luxurious softness and spaciousness. This finish is fresh yet substantial—perfect for hot weather, as it doesn’t feel heavy while still lasting a long time.
